Los Angeles is famous for different reasons. However, entertainment always becomes its first introduction for all those who want to visit this city. Though there are events accommodating different people with varied choices and tastes, yet annual film festivals are the events that grab so many people towards them. Hollywood is a district of Los Angeles and hence people in huge number visit this city for different events especially the film festivals. Though it’s a difficult task to provide all information of events calendar in a single article, yet suggesting one’s favorite Los Angeles events is possible. So, here are my most favorite Los Angeles film festivals:
HolyShorts Film Festival – HolyShorts Film Festival is an annual event that showcases the quality short films around the globe. There is screening of these films, questions & answer session and networking events at the festival. The short films of 30-minutes or less time are included in the festival. Seven successful festivals of short films have been conducted so far.
The Feel Good Film Festival – The Feel Good Film Festival is an annual event that showcases short or feature length films with happy ending or that make people laugh or leave pleasant effects on their feelings. This is a non-profit film events and is aimed at making people feel good through happy ending films.
Los Angeles Latino International Film events – This is from one of the very few events organized by Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science and includes short and feature length films from different countries. The short film winner is considered eligible for the Oscar award. There are musical events held at the festival and one of the most anticipated films are shown at the opening or closing of the festival.
Cinecon Classic Film Festival – This is a five-day film event taking place at the heart of Hollywood. There are screenings, celebrity guests, and one of the best movie memorabilia shows in the festival for the members of cinecon. The membership is simple and is included in the pass for a full festival or even a single day pass.
Burbank International Film Festival – This annual film event has got reputation among film makers and film viewers in short time. Human-beings, animals and different environmental or social issues become a subject of this festival. Some films after going through screening also make their way through other festivals and then from different awards.
